Fishing date

Fishing time
6:30-8:45 pm
Weather conditions
clear, slight breeze temeperature about 70
Water conditions
low flow for this time of year, very clear
Insect activity
egg laying caddis, a few march Browns hatching. Lots of midges and a few Hendrickson spinners at dark.
Fish hooked
Landed four fish, the biggest about 12".
Fly pattern used
There were a few rises, but could not get anything to come up. Noticing flashes in the pools, switched to a #14 PT and a # 16 GRHE nymph fished on the bottom under an indicator.
Comments
The canyon section is an especially beautiful section of the stream. Three of the fish were beautifully colored specimens, either holdovers or stream bred wild fish. The pools were starting to come alive when I was forced to leave at dark. Getting into and out of the canyon is more difficult with the new bridge/road side improvements put in last year!
