Sunny and about 50. A little breezy.

Water conditions

High but fairly clear I think the flow was 1400cfs at Pinneville.

Insect activity

Not much

Fish hooked

2 fish hooked none landed, King Salmon...

Fly pattern used

Egg paterns...on the drift...

I took my 9 yrear old son up in the hopes of getting him hooked into a big fish. Well we found a nice spot amoungst the hoards of "fishermen" and I got into one right off the bat!!! but lost him pretty quick,,Bummer,,, then the nice man fishing above us ould clearly tell what I was trying to do and all of sudden he had one on and he starts working his way down to us!! and he says here kid fight this one!!!! what a great guy!!! my son foutght the beast for about 5 minutes and man was he grinning!! but the hook came out,,, oh well,, we fished for ahwile longer till the scent of the Altmar Hotel French Fries were to much to ignore.....I don't know which was the harder fight, the Salmon or trying to finish off that plate of fries? All in all a great little short trip to a very crowded Salmon River!! and a big thanks to a nice guy who really gets what it's all about.....It just goes prove ,if you find the right spot you'll have a great experience...
