Tailored Guiding and Instruction from beginner to Expert

Whether you're a seasoned expert or a novice who needs step by step instruction, I will provided tailored service for your skill level. You can enjoy ½ day, day, or even over night trips and I will provide instruction as you wish. We can walk and wade one of my favorite places in New York’s most scenic country or try a trout stream of your choice. Keep in mind New York has several year round fly fishing locations.

Beginners

If you are just beginning, you will get the personal attention you deserve. I will take the time to go over all the intricacies so to better facilitate the learning experience. I will teach you everything from knots and equipment to casting, line control and fly selection. If you're interested, we can examine such things as stream ecology, trout habitat and entomology (the study of insects).

Refining your skills or an Experienced Fly-fisher just visiting

Possibly you don't need the step by step instruction. You may only wish to refine your skills, or perhaps you're an experienced angler. Maybe you're visiting and don't want to pass up a golden opportunity to cast a line on one of Central New York's many Rivers and Streams. Or, you may simply be new to the area and would like the assistance of a stream side advisor. In either event I will inform you with all that the area has to offer. With the right timing you can hit one of our many exceptional the many mayfly, caddis, stonefly hatches and more that occur during the season.

In your e-mail explain your skill level, interest, time period and perhaps a location. Else, I can make a suggestion. I will draw up and e-mail a detailed plan and provide you with a price. When you are satisfied with the plan you will be required to send a deposit and we'll make the final arrangements.

Cost

Typically the cost is based on an 8 hour day and the number of people in the party.
